Greetings, we are James and Bridgette Vaught. We were first introduced to the mission field in 2000 while on a trip with a local church Bible School. Our current pastor, at that time, had recently come off the mission field, and as a requirement of the school, each student had to take a short trip to the mission field. We were sold on missions from that time forward. We glimpsed God’s purpose for our lives. In 2016, God sent us to join with Bishop A. L. Downing and Living Faith Christian Center. Two years later, in 2018, we took our first trip to the Philippines with and through Bishop Downing. We returned in 2019, and again in 2020, our first trip alone to a foreign country, as the advance team to prepare for the LFCC conference there. That trip was interrupted by COVID, and we didn’t know if, or when, we might be able to return. While we were hindered in getting back to the Philippines in person, LFCC started an online theology school as an extension of Living Faith School of Theology, the ministry’s school in Columbia, S.C. After some time, both of us felt that God was calling us to go back to the Philippines in person, to assist in running the school. In June of 2023, we headed back for final exams, a moving-up ceremony for the students, and to find a place to live. We returned in January of 2024 after selling our business, putting everything we owned in storage, and telling our children and grandchildren goodbye.We are happy to be on God’s assignment for us in the Philippines, and joyful in knowing we are in His perfect will. Our hearts are sold out to go where He tells us to go and do whatever He tells us to do. To God be the Glory!!!
